Kiss from a Rosé

ROSÉ [French]

ROSADO [Spanish]

ROSATO [Italian]

Rosé is more than a seasonal fad, and more than a wine trend.

Its historical origins are as deeply rooted as wine itself, although the distinct Rosé labelling is more modern. Post WWII it was the Portuguese who spearheaded the release of a pale pink wine to the European and American markets.

Often associated with summer and friends, we champion the fact Rosé can be enjoyed any time of year – with its freshness and vibrancy being a real lift during colder months and with the menus of winter.

To celebrate Rosé this week we’ve pulled together our top three tempting Tempranillo-based Rosés, that need to be on your try list.

Light and bright…

La Kooki Rosé Blonde

This Margaret River Tempranillo Pinot Noir Rosé is wild fermented in seasoned French barriques. The wine is uber-blonde, medium-bodied, and deliciously dry.

La Kooki’s very own Glenn Goodall says…“Curry night with friends demands Rosé Blonde! Retro party mix lollies for dessert.”

Fishbone Margaret River Rose

For a special occasion…

Fishbone Black Label Rosé

Hand-picked Tempranillo from the Fishbone Estate is whole bunched pressed and cool fermented in stainless steel and seasoned oak.

Fishbone’s Winemaker Stuart Pierce says… “The Rosé is a really pale and dry savoury style. Very vibrant – there are some beautiful bright fruit qualities and lively acidity.”

Willow Bridge Geographe Tempranillo Rose

What to bring, when your told not to bring a thing…

Willow Bridge Rosa de Solana

This Geographe Rosé highlights the purity and vibrancy of the Tempranillo grape. It is elegant, poised and fruit forward. Fairy floss in the bottle, this wine is perfectly balanced to enjoy with good food and great company. The kind of Rosé you just want to pour another glass of.
